The nice thing parents appreciate about this set is the instruments have a gentle sound, not harsh and loud. We love the fact that the xylophone has a built in storage attachment for the mallet so it won't get lost. In fact, the box the set comes in can be used as a storage box for the entire set. It is a sturdy well made cardboard box with a built in handle for traveling! This is a set that can be used for many years.
